Are you new to planning and trying to figure out your planning style? Then this post is for you. We'll help you figure out which style fits your personality, lifestyle, and budget.

First you have to choose your medium. Are you a paper planner or are you a digital planner? Both has there pros and cons but you must first out which one good for you. Or maybe you want to do both. Paper is good for those of us who are crafty and love to physically feel and touch all the stickers, washi, paper and etc. If your technology buff of sorts and know all the lingo and inside and out of the lastest tech. Then digital planning may be for you. Not only is it easily assessable from any digital product but is quick and easy.

Now that you have figured out your medium of planning let's move onto your actual style. Are you minimalist? That is someone who doesn't care for the fluff and uses the bare minimal. Most times that has little to no decoration . Mostly all text and sometimes no color unless they are into color coding to make their lives easier with a system. Sounds like you then this might be your style .

Now if the minimalist style doesn't suit you then you might be into pretty planning or decorative. Your level of decoration is up to you. For some they chose to decorate heavily. They will use all the goodies down to the last drop and you'll end up with a planner page(s) you see all over social media. Never the less this might be your style.

Nevertheless, make it your style. Both minimal or decorative can both be used in paper planning or digital planning. No style is wrong. It's all about making it personable to you.
